Ancestral Home in Baloy, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija

This is the ancestral home of the Sumangils in Baloy, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. Apolonio "Polon" Sumangil built this house before the 2nd World war.

Polon and Immen's children and their grandchildren all grew up in this house. Year-after-year, and every December, Sumangil reunions are held in the house.

"Tanda ko yong litson tuwing may okasyon na niluluto sa likod ng bahay. Kasama ako sa mga batang makukulit at nakikialam sa pagpapaikot nito sa ibabaw ng mainit at nagbabagang mga uling . . ." isang pagkukwento ni Ramil, apo ni Polon at bunsong anak ni Edot Sumangil.

". . . may isang malaking kuwarto sa ibaba. Ginawang karate room ni Uncle Gil. Doon nya kami tinuturuan noon, kasama ni Manong Rodel at mga pinsan (Domino, Marcos, Ferdie, etc. . .) . . ." pagpapatuloy niya.

The family of Rogelio "Gil" Sumangil (+) is taking care of this ancestral home of the Sumangils in Baloy.
