Remigio "Mameng" Sumangil

Remegio or "Mameng" to his friends and relatives is the 3rd son of Roman Sumangil Sr. and Anastacia Pader. They originally came from Latap, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija then moved to San Quintin, Pangasinan before the 1st world war. Their father brought them to Cotabato in 1957 where his parents were granted a parcel of land.


During the height of the Muslim and Christian conflict in 1973, Mameng and his other brother Elueterio transferred to a safer land called Dujali in Davao del Norte and settled there to this day. Their father (Roman Sr.) and other siblings chose to stay in Cotabato.

Mameng married Rosita and have the following children*:
  1. Relieta "Reling" married to Samuel Caballero Sr. (Deceased)
  2. Orlino (Deceased) married to Thelma Basco
  3. Lilia married to Levi Adrales
  4. Lily married to Catalino Legitimas
  5. Anselmo "Selmo" married Alicia Espanola
  6. Baby Rose married to Augusto Gadia
  7. Samuel married to Jocebel Toledo
  8. Ephraim married to Helen Daquigan
  9. Dan married to Felicidad Rubino (Deceased)
