Quirino Sumangil is the 3rd son of Apolonio "Polon" Sumangil and Herminia "Immen" Enrico. His siblings are the following: Trinidad Sumangil-Marquez, Camilo Sumangil (RIP), Victoria "Bebe" Sumangil-Capulong, Sylvia Sumangil-Esperanza, Rogelio "Gil" Sumangil (RIP), and Danilo "Danny" Sumangil (RIP).
"Edot" was married to Eustaquia Bermudez of Bonifacio and had a daughter (Nida Sumangil-Caoile). After his 1st wife died of leukemia, he married Rosalina "Rosing" Esperanza and had 4 children namely Rodel, Salome, Ramil and Zaldy (RIP). Zaldy died at a very young age of 1.
